Haute Couture
Clothing, armors, official garments... its always somewhat of a problem to create novelties in that field when creating a fictional universe... so lets try sharing some ideas for uniforms and clothes for different worlds and cultures right here on this post, and hopefully inspire one another. I'll start by sharing some artwork I found online:

Interesting ceremonial robes, unfamiliar style. Could work for a number of cultures.

Very cool mage or some other magic-worker design. Inspired me for some designs in the Shore World.

A combination of a Templar knight armor and a Chinese warrior armor. Kind of unique.
Re: Haute Couture
I don't like the third one. Templar + Chinese doesn't work for me.
The first image is very interesting, since the people in the image don't belong to any particular culture, judging by their appearance. I always appreciate artists who manage to convey a novel feel to their design. The second image is amazing. I really like the coloring and the overall design. I don't see though how it would combine with the Shores. He wears fur for Christ's sake, and he is bluer than I imagined the Shore universe. Plus his leather is very European.
The below two pictures are very good depictions of a Parallax Disciple assassin.
This is a concept art of warriors form the Wilderness. This specific individual belongs to an extremist sect devoted to protecting the Wilderness People's heritage.
This is taken from Rakion. It is my inspiration for battle-armor used by Artificers from the Forge, on the rare occasions they are forced to go into battle.
In this link you can find many very pretty images of arab-style warriors. I particularly enjoyed the Zephyr Guard. It can be used in my African culture.

Re: Haute Couture
Ppl at the northern parts of the shore world are more scruffy and wear furs and and walrus skins. I said inspiration, not that i copied the design completely~
The Arab ones are too historically accurate for my taste (more in feel than in actual fact), I'm looking fo things that don't particularly fit anywhere in our world, kind of like the wilderness guy. Though he looks like his armor is made of metal, and i thought they didn't forge metals back inn the wilderness (?).
Lets spam...

Re: Haute Couture
Very cool. Some of the mechas are too shocking for me.

Re: Haute Couture
I think the first ones are remarkable, design wise

I would have liked to play something like the grunge samurai in a matching scenario (dishonored-post-apocalyptic-mash-up?) X:

Re: Haute Couture
These are not the shocking ones I was referring to. But I don't find them particularly attractive. They are too mashed-up.
By the way, yes, Wilderness people don't forge metal. We should imagine that in the picture he has wooden rather than metal armor.
Grunge samurai is an interesting concept. I don't have an idea though how to combine it in a scenario.

Re: Haute Couture
Should be some kind of grungy city-world. Its not that hard. Perhaps a criminal assassin for the mob or something. I just find masks+trench coats of almost any variations irresistibly cool (the whalers from dishonored, hei from darker than black etc...).
